Playing with the black pieces, he outmaneuvered Liang, who was in fine form after a strong showing earlier in the tournament, including a over Dutch GM Jorden van Foreest. The game showcased Keymer’s strategic brilliance, as he capitalized on Liang’s 24.Nxf4 sacrifice to secure a decisive advantage. This win follows Keymer’s early momentum, as the German started with a hat-trick of victories in rounds one to three against Nihal Sarin, Pranav Venkatesh, and Karthikeyan Murali, propelling to the top of the Masters section.

With a perfect score earlier in the tournament and draws against top seeds like Arjun Erigaisi, Keymer’s 2928 performance rating reflects his dominance.
