A heartbreaking blunder in a winning position against Leinier Dominguez seemed to shatter his dreams of finishing second behind Magnus Carlsen. More than the podium, Parham craved the golden ticket to the Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour in Las Vegas, a chance to battle the world’s elite.
