Lichess Turns 15!

Today, June 20th, Lichess shares the message “Lichess turns 15 years old today! Thanks to all our users, contributors and supporters.” The website has come a long way since its founding in 2010 by Thibault Duplessis.
To celebrate the occasion, they held the 2025 Lichess Anniversary tournament, 12 hours of 10+0 chess. User ‘pecheur67’ won the day, finishing first out of 12,817 players to play at least one game. They berserked 98% of their games — accepting half the starting time but earning an extra standings point for a win.
