King Ties the Knot with his Queen

The 2024 World Blitz Champion and World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen tied knots with Ella Victoria Malone on January 4, 2025!

Days before the ceremony, Verdens Gang, one of the prime Norwegian tabloids reported that Magnus Carlsen was set to get hitched at an undisclosed location in Norway. The pair eventually tied knots outside Holmenkollen Chapel in Oslo. The 26-year-old was first spotted publicly with Magnus at WEISSENHAUS where Magnus took part in the Freestyle Chess G.O.A.T. Challenge. Ella would often escort Magnus to the playing venue and be there with him in between the rounds. Since then Ella has traveled to a number of tournaments with her boyfriend and now-husband including Tata Steel Chess India, Kolkata. The lady luck seems to be working for World No. 1. We wish the couple a joyous and prosperous married life!
