Hikaru sets another online blitz record
Posted on December 23, 2025 BY Michael Ludwig
As posted by chess.com on Twitter, “For the fifth time this year, @GMHikaru has broken our all-time Blitz Elo record with a *staggering* rating of 3441 during today’s Titled Tuesday!”

It’s been every couple of months that he has set a new high, from the 3408 mark in May, through to the 3438 record just over a month ago, and now his 3441 in the twilight of 2025. It’s hard to imagine he can keep doing it, but at this rate, 3500 may not be so far away!
