Hans Niemann Offers Bounties to 2700+ Players!
After losing the Blitz match to Daniil Dubov by a hair, Hans goes on X, offering generous sums to 2700+ Elo players for playing against him in the ‘Hans Niemann Against The World Tour‘. Following the alleged ‘blacklisting’ by the organisers, the American Grandmaster saw it as the last resort, posting about it on his social media.

Hans has previously organised several matches against top GMs, as a part of his ‘Hans Niemann Against The World Tour’. He not only won all of his matches, including one against Dutch #1 Anish Giri, but also did it in an exciting triathlon format—classical, rapid, and blitz.
“I will handle logistics; the players risk nothing,” says Hans in his post while inviting challenges from his fellow Super GMs in his DMs. It is no secret that only the top 20 or 30 players in the world can sustain themselves purely by playing competitive chess while the rest face a sense of insecurity due to the lack of opportunities. An offer like Hans’ would indeed be difficult to say no to for a lot of them.
Ever since his controversy with Magnus Carlsen, Hans has been toiling to get a clean chit in fair play but has failed to convince, apparently. It’s not too long before we see Hans going up against the world’s best in the Freestyle Chess format.
Let’s see how Hans Niemann Against The World Tour finds space in the 2025 chess calendar and if Niemann is able to make a statement for the organisers to start inviting him again.
