Firouzja, Anand, Nepomniachtchi, and So Headline German Bundesliga Weekend
The stage is set for some of the strongest players in the world to clash at the Bundesliga Weekend in Germany! This weekend, rounds 7 and 8 will be played, which will bring some of the most exciting clashes in store for us. A potential title clash between the current two co-leaders is set to be played in round 7 between OSG Baden-Baden and Düsseldorfer SK!

Baden-Baden has deployed one of their strongest line-ups with the inclusion of Alireza Firouzja, Levon Aronian, MVL, etc. It is also going to be the season debut of Indian Legend Vishy Anand who is going to join his team on board 2. Presence of strong players like Radoslaw Wojtaszek and Alexander Donchenko on the bottom boards is a testament to the strength of this mighty team.
Düsseldorf SK will be missing some of their top guns who are busy contesting in Wijk aan Zee – Arjun Erigaisi, Gukesh D, Praggnanandha, Anish, etc. As many as 6 players of Düsseldorf are present in the Netherlands playing for the prestigious title of Tata Steel Masters! The reserves, however, put up a strong case for themselves, namely, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Wesley So, Vidit Gujrathi, et al. Düsseldorf won’t be missing their heavy hitter, 19-year-old Javokhir Sindarov. Being the underdog on paper, Düsseldorf SK is expected to cause a few upset in this match!
Round 7 of the Bundesliga weekend is set to commence at 13:00 UTC. Follow the exciting clashes and results on the official website of German Bundesliga: https://schachbundesliga.de/
