The 2025 edition of Chess.com’s Bullet Chess Championship is entering its final stages. The event does not include a honeymooning Magnus Carlsen or his chief rival Hikaru Nakamura, but nevertheless boasts a strong slate of competitors, and it is consensus top three bulleter Alireza Firouzja and fan favourite speed chess specialist Daniel Naroditsky who will face off in the Winners Final for a spot in the final Final.
Firouzja has cruised so far, defeating Jeffery Xiong 13.5 -3.5, Yagiz Erdogmus 15.5 – 5.5, and Nihal Sarin 17.5 – 6.5 to earn his spot. Naroditsky has had a tighter path, taking down Sergei Zhigalko 13 – 6, Oleksandr Bortnyk 11 – 7, and most dramatically Sam Sevian 17 – 15 to secure his place.

The tournament continues 12:00 p.m. ET June 27th with Losers Bracket matches.
